Jobelan is one of my favorite fabrics to stitch on, Lugana being the other. The weave is even, the fabric itself is soft, and it holds its shape well seemingly no matter how long it's in a hoop or frame.

I am trying to learn pulled thread embroidery, and find that this was the wrong fabric to use for my learning. I do not like the stiffness, and it does not have a nice hand. I think it would be fine for other counted thread work, but is not giving enough for my purpose.

this fabric is very easy to work with. the threads do not separate. the color is easy to see. the count is not so small that you can't work with it. the fabric is soft and not stiff. great for a first project or a professional.

When I received this, it had 2 large holes in the stitching area of the fabric. I did email them and sent them a photo and they are supposed to be sending me a replacement fabric but I have not received it yet.

I've been ordering and using this 28 count Jobelan evenweave for years. First, it's an evenweave that allows the stitcher to have stitches exactly the same size. I've used this fabric going "over one" and "over two". The 28-count allows for a finer looking background to a pattern because it is a higher count fabric. It is a soft, easy to handle fabric that I use mainly in my larger charts. Most of my orders for this fabric are in the antique white color because, in some patterns, I prefer a bit more of a softened look, though the white 28-count fabric has the same softness, ease of use. This fabric comes in a large range of colors, including black.Recommend this fabric highly for those stitchers who would like to work with the higher count fabrics.
