I've worked with this thread off and on for years and it looks absolutely wonderful on a finished project. Yes it does unravel easily and can be a challenge when using. I know when doing cross stitch you're not supposed to knot threads but on this thread I do and you can't tell. I unwind the length I need cut and knot. Then because it slips and slides through the needle I use a needle threader and pull a few inches through the eye of the needle. I hold the knotted end and make sure the length is even and then pull the needle through the looped end of the thread. It will not unravel nor slip and is totally easy to work with. I also find by doing this that I can use longer lengths.

A very frustrating thread to work with! Like the other reviewers say, this gold metallic thread ravels into three separate threads which makes it hard to thread even on a 24 tapestry needle. But it is the kinking when stitching that is so frustrating! Is there a better alternative?

I love the finished look of this thread on my projects, but it is so hard to work with. It separates into three different threads and they break frequently. I just wish that the pattern makers would list an alternative to the DMC thread that had the same look.

It ravels really bad, hard to thread the needle. Hope they come out with another metallic thread that is better.You delivered it very fast, I am pleased with your site. I needed the thread to finish my cross stitch.

THIS TREAD, WHILE USING IT, WILL DIVIDE INTO 3 SEPARATE STRAINS. THIS MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO WORK WITH.
