I agree that the thread is poor quality. Also, even though I have not finished the work, I am already out of two colors and anticipate more. If I do this again, I will use my own floss.

I have started sewing away and it already looks so cute! the fabric is a bit stiff, to confirm comments made by other reviewers, but I don't find it problematic. I hope my best friend loves this when I present it to her after she has her baby.

I still love the design, and the color chart is very clear, but the fabric has been sized so thickly and stiffly that often the needle has to be forced through the weave because the holes have been blocked solid. That makes progress very slow and tiring. - Vicki Sharp

Overall the kit is fine. It already looks cute and I've just sarted. The main problem is with the thread - it's not the best quality. It tangles and breaks easily. I also do not like the way the thread is sorted - the long strands get knotted together and it is almost impossible to keep short pieces because there is no way to put it back on the sorter.

I have done this cross stitch before and am doing it again for a friend who will become a grandma soon! It is really nice and bright and fun!
