The Dutch Treat frame is a practical working frame for perforated paper. It is designed to be used on the lap or table so that projects will be kept clean and free of kinks. The only thing you have to hold is your needle, because the frame sets on your thighs, a table, or propped on the arm of your chair. One hand goes behind the paper or under the bottom clamp and the other hand stays on top of the paper. All you need to do is pass the needle back and forth. The set contains the oak side bars and a set of knobs (dowels sold separately - 8", 15", or 24").

on 12/11/2016 - Much happier stitching!
I love to stitch! I have used perforated paper for a while now. My concern is the final condition of the paper. Now I can keep the paper in good condition until the end of the project, and the arthritis in my hands doesn't act up nearly as much!

As I have tried to work with perforated paper in the past and my perfectionist side has bulked at the abuse the paper takes from too much handling, I would like to say that the Dutch Treat Frame has been a wonderful addition to my collection of lap frames. If you prefer to work with both hands, this product is a must!
on 02/17/2015 - Love this
I do a lot of the Mill Hill cross stitch bead kits using perforated paper. Usually my paper is a little worn by the time I am done.I was concerned, given the price that it would not work for me. I took my chances and I love using this. The only thing is, I do have to take the paper out of the lap stitch frame to finish all the edges of the project. This isn't a design issue of the frame. It is that the kit provides a smaller piece of paper 8X8 so the edge of the design is too close to the dowel clamp. I bought the 8" dowel and plan to get the next size up to see if it will give me more room to work the side edges of the project, without having to remove it from the frame. The weight is fine for me and it has a great hold on the paper.I give it 5 stars.PS. It would be nice it the item was sold with at least one of the dowel clamps. A faithful customer

Don't know how I stitched paper without this. Definitely worth the price.
