Inspired by a vintage quilt - I wanted to make my version of this classic star quilt in two of my favorite ways... one scrappy, and one with a gingham design. So, here they are... and even better - this version has been simplified and is made with half-square triangle units and no Y-seams! 68" x 68"
This technique sheet allows you to make Offset Four Patch units in 17 different sizes; you can combine them with other units to create a unique block, use them for an interesting chain, or combine them together to create a disappearing nine patch type design. Here the Ohio Star blocks are placed with setting squares - giving the quilt an airy-ness and then bordered with fun "dotted" borders (large size). This quilt could be made an any colorway and look wonderful!
