from United States on 10/29/2018 - Frayed a bit This is the first time I have used this kind of braid. It is 3-ply, and the pattern called for 1 ply. However, I found this to be too thick. Each ply is actually 2 pieces twisted into 1 ply, which can be separated. It was then the right consistency for my pattern, but separating it into 2 pieces caused each piece to fray and break - probably would not have happened had I not had to separate each ply into 2 pieces. I would still purchase this thread again.
