The handle bar area needs redesigning, especially Santas left hand. The white felt is of poor quality and you have to make a large knot in your thread so it doesnt pull through. I now put a dot of tacky glue on each knot to keep them from pulling through. I am glad a piece of colored felt now replaces the white backing. Cute design, especially for boys.

3 stars out of 5 from United States Tiny United States flag on 01/17/2018 - Cute, but challenge for beginners.
Having done felt appliqu kits for 30 years, I am experienced. This kit came with all the sequins - multiple colors plus large black beads used for the eyes - in one small bag. I sorted and separated them by color. Fortunately, all the beads for holding on sequins were clear white, so I didn't have to separate out black, white, and red beads, as is common in other kits. The needle supplied has a very small eye - almost impossible to thread with the embroidery floss. The floss is not high quality and I resorted to using short strands, hence more threading the needle, because the thread frayed and broke repeatedly. Only the red felt is printed with the placement markings. All the other pieces required cutting using tiny stiff paper patterns. The paper patterns are marked with the dots for the sequin placement, and show the numbers where to apply connecting pieces. Unless you duplicate these details onto the felt, connecting and applying the pieces together is guess work. The directions are clear, but they are printed on one side and the diagram for placing the "numbered" pieces is on the back side, so you have to flip back and forth. An inconvenience. The wheel pieces require multiple layers, with cut-out pieces, then sequins. Very bulky, and since the pieces are not marked for placement, figuring out where to connect everything and place sequins was a challenge. The directions say to softly stuff some pieces to make them dimensional, using cotton balls or fiberfill. I don't think I have ever had a kit come without a small packet of fiberfill to do this. So, this is cute and actually easy if you know what you are doing.
