from United States on 03/24/2022 - Small sharp ‘get you out of trouble’ help-mate! Small enough to stay within reach during stitching ‘oopsie’ moments. I personally had this ripper assist me in a large ‘oopsie’ that called for me to ‘frog’ out a stitched 3-inch by 2-inch area of a WIP. Stays sharp to come to the rescue during my stitching mistakes. Keep spares of these in my stash so I am never without one if I misplace one.
from United States on 10/06/2021 - Perfect for blackword and cross-stitch This is very effective for frogging (ripping out) blackstitch and other small stitch projects. The point is slender and smooth, so slips under the thread to rip without damaging the fabric, and then the thread slides back and is cut. It is small but easy to hold, and I appreciate the safe plastic cover, so this can fit easily in my sewing kit without risk of stabbing my hands. Highly recommended.

from United States on 02/09/2018 - Good for seams, Great for Frogging Cross Stitch! I had this from 1958-2018. Finally, the clear plastic cover had cracked, and the metal was loose in the handle! I finally gave it a decent burial. I have tried many others, large and small. Of all of them, this stayed the sharpest for the longest time. And, when I was in Girl Scouts and sewing, it gave my dad my nickname, "Su the Ripper".
