Note from designer: Renee's French Alphabet has been adapted from an antique sampler with beautifully formed graceful letters. The original sampler was worked in wool, and did not contain the letters : J and W, which would have been common in France at the time it was stitched. I have added both of those letters to the chart, by adapting existing letters in an antique format. A single letter could be worked over one thread to create a tiny pin keep or a monogram could be stitched and finished as small pillow. The letters could also be used to personalize a project bag
