Rose Lejeune 1900 is a reproduction of an antique French Sampler. Rose was 12 years old when she finished stitching this sampler on June 24, 1900. She loved the color pink, and that color shines in this sampler! While the pink I chose from Cottage Garden Threads isn't quite as bright as what Rose used, it still shines in this gorgeous sampler. The stars of the design are the gorgeous bird, the handsome stag and of course, the wonderful Eiffel Tower in the center of it all. There is also a beautiful alphabet and many wonderful floral motifs.

The pattern is stitched on 40 ct linen using Cottage Garden Threads with an Overdyed floss and DMC conversion. Stitch count is 282 x 230. Finished size is 14.1" x 11.5".

Cottage Garden Threads used: Oregano, Delburn, Salvia, Canna Lily, Hyssop, Candlestick, Marigold, Blue Heaven, Vintage Rose, Page Turner, 1 10 yd Vintage Rose.
