I do find that they aren't totally sharp along the entire length of the blade, they are slightly dull at the innermost mouth of the blades, and they are a bit stiff to use. However, the tips are very sharp, tiny, and precise; they work perfectly for cutting thread and I'm very happy with them! I'm not sure if they would be quite as good at cutting fabric. They feel nice in the hand and have no sharp spots (except for the blade tips). I'm very impressed with the quality for the price!
