I have completed other projects from the Lone Dog Sampler selection and I am so enthused when something new from them catches my eye. These projects, because of the intricacies involved with each design, require total dedication to complete. I recently completed the (translated "Sacred Heart") sampler and immediately looked for the next project. I'm engaged with this one now, and have Opus one waiting in the wings. I like to complete the project in petit-point, over one thread, using evenweave fabric, which I've learned works best for my time and effort. I've attempted the Lone Dog larger pieces, but I've found giving full attention to the intricacy of the design was more challenging than I had anticipated. They are now "waiting in the wings" until I have the confidence for the larger scale options. There is so much satisfaction in the final product, but the complexity can be a challenge.
from United States on 02/13/2018 - Spirit of Vierlande pattern I'm loving stitching this pattern. I'm using variegated cranberry thread which I love and could stitch all day on it. It has 3 alphabets on the top which I wasn't thrilled to have to do but I have enjoyed doing them. Lovely piece and very enjoyable.
