In the middle of a cold Winter and longing for a sunshiny day under the apple blossom, I designed this piece to remind me of happier days ahead. I'm not naturally an optimist, so this quotation by Martin Luther spoke to me - a good reminder of the power of our everyday, small choices to better the future. I hope it speaks to you as well - to value your power to choose the good every day. "Even if I knew that tomorrow, the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree"

Stitched 1 over 2, using full crosses only. Another stitching option would be to stitch the top, pictorial section alone, for a charming farmhouse scene. Pattern is stitched on 36-count 'Antique Ivory' by Zweigart using Cottage Garden Threads. Stitch count: 131w x 131h.
