from Sweden on 03/21/2022 - My very favourite silk My very favourite silk to use on 40ct and 46ct--if I had to chose. Extremely easy to use and the silk is so soft to handle. No fuzzy strands and hold it´s sheen all thru the stitching. For me, I would use on 40ct and 46ct because I want good coverage. I strongly recommend this NPI Silk --it is a stitcher dream.

from United States on 09/15/2014 - Lovely To Work With Initially it seemed expensive, but then I realized that there are seven strands to the floss instead of the standard six strands. Has a nice rich color. Being that this was my first time working with silk floss, I went on line to read about any tips or techniques. Everyone of the sites suggested using some sort of awl or thread trolley to lay the floss as you stitch and to use the "stab and stick" method of stitching. This can be cumbersome if you are not using a fame or hoop on a stand, but it can be done. One word of advice . . . the floss is very light weight, so if working under or near a fan, put it in a bag or weight it down.
from United States on 12/16/2013 - Why Use NPI Silk Floss I feel that I am spoiled. I have stitched for many years and for most of those years I used DMC. I still use DMC for some items. But as I said I am spoiled I feel that if I am spending a lot of my time to work on a large, detailed project then I owe it to myself to use the best materials I can afford. NPI in my opinion is very a smooth and tangle free floss. It makes my stitching time shorter as I am not untangling and un knotting my floss as I do when using DMC or other cotton flosses. I know that my finished project will have a beautiful even finish. So why not use NPI to help elevate my frustrations and give me a finish to be proud of.
