Note from designer: I chose to design the year 1867 on the pocket because while I was looking up some information on jack o'lanterns, I came across a site that told of the first image of a carved pumpkin being published in an 1867 issue of Harper's Weekly.
The model was stitched over 2 threads on 36 ct. Desert Taipan by Fox and Rabbit with DMC and Colour and Cotton floss. Stitch Count: 66w x 111h.
Three charming pumpkins, including one carved Jack-O-Lantern, sit atop a checker-board border declaring a Happy Halloween to all. You can stitch this design onto a canvas tote bag using waste canvas to make a cherished Trick-or-Treat bag for a special child.
