This third chart in our Hearts poker series is brimming with vibrant color, clever detail, and a bit of philosophical flair. Designed as a classic playing card, the Jack holds his heart high as the banner of lyrics arcs across the design in vivid, silk-thread brilliance.
I get a lot of requests to do smaller designs. I do try, but often the designs grow with my imagination. However, on occasion I force myself to behave! Sweet Hearts is a fun little monochrome design done mostly in cross stitch with a few little Rhodes stitches thrown in for some texture.
Hearts Entwined was originally dreamed up while planning my own wedding sampler. I have included instructions for modifying the design to be used as a wedding or anniversary sampler.
Pattern is stitched on 36 ct Light Examplar using Gloriana and Needlepoint Silk threads with DMC conversion. Stitch count is 177 x 273.
