Cross Stitch Pattern

Collected from German, Italian, Scottish, Dutch, English, and American samplers, this book of alphabets takes off from where the previous edition, Alphabets from Early Samplers, ends. The alphabets have been fastidiously reproduced from samplers dating from 1530, to 1868. Over 80 alphabets are charted, as well as two complete alphabet samplers, one of them dating from 1725.

Note from the designer: It started with the request to teach at Shepherd's Bush and the theme was garden. My brain went to our love of samplers and flowers. I envisioned alphabets dancing in the garden. There will be one for each season for a total of four different charts.

Stitch count is 162 x 49. Finished size is 2.75 x 9" stitched on 36 ct Flax.

This is the final Sampler Seasons chart! This series has been such a fun journey and I appreciate so much all the love it has received.
