Note from the designer - "Rhode Island samplers were among the first American schoolgirl embroideries to be recognized by serious collectors and textile scholars as a distinctive group with extraordinary visual appeal.The Sheffield sampler is delicately worked with an unusually pleasing combination of colors in its petit point strawberry band pattern and a unique spread-winged bird in its upper left corner."

The design is rated intermediate to advanced and uses cross stitch, petite point (cross stitch over one thread), eyelet and back stitch. Model is stitched on 35 ct linen of your choice using DMC or silk floss. Finished size 13" x 11"

Required Soie d'Alger 2834 discontinued.
