With all of the geese traveling around this quilt, Atlantic Flyway seemed a most appropriate name. Techniques include "Fast Flying Geese" with the Wing Clipper I ruler, and "Migrating Geese" for the border and a bit of paper foundation piecing for the tricky star points. A wonderful wall quilt.

Maybe you should call me the "Goose Girl". Despite some unfortunate encounters with nasty geese in my formative years, I love geese. As much as I enjoy flocks flying overhead, I'm especially fond of the quilt kind, to the extent that a quilt made entirely with flying geese is not uncharted territory for me.
Add a real twist to your Wedge Star projects by cutting diamonds from pieced fabric strips. Your stars will spin either clockwise or counter clockwise and can be varied in oodles of ways. This is a fun next step in creating Wedge Star quilts. The strip sizes in the chart come very close to dividing the diamonds in two equal size strips for a simple Twisted Star.
