Did you know that a group of cardinals is called a "radiance?" This year the holiday card features radiant cardinals enjoying a gingerbread bird house! I couldn't decide which version I liked best so I included both.
The model is stitched on 40 count linen using Weeks Dye Works, Classic Colorworks and DMC floss. Stitch count for each version is 95 high x 113 wide. The models are trimmed with "Bittersweet" velveteen from Lady Dot Creates, and some vintage style mini tinsel.
Stitching both designs with 2 strands of thread requires 2 skeins of 420 and 3865. If stitching on 16/32 count or lower you'll need 3 skeins of 420 and 3865 and 2 skeins of Chestnut to stitch both versions. Stitch count for both are 113 x 95. Finished sizes are 5.65 in wide X 4.75 in high.
