Hand Over-Dyed Floss, Sold in 5 yard Skeins. The colors are variegated enough to be noticeable, yet subtle enough to blend naturally. Because it is pliable, this fiber is perfect for cross stitch and needlepoint on many different counts of fabric and canvas. It is also works great for punch needle (1, 3 and 6 strand) and stitching on wool applique and penny rugs. It gives a more subtle appearance to the fine stitching on applique than some of the heavier fibers like pearl cotton.

Weeks threads are wonderful: subtle variegation, good coverage, and it comes in one long piece so you can use just what you need. I’d say the actual color is somewhat lighter than pictured but a very nice brown. It was the called for color for a reindeer and it was perfect.

Weeks Dye Works is beautiful floss. I do not always use a lot of over dyed threads because I do not personally care for the faded-out, dull, flat look when I stitch. I prefer brighter happier colors but Weeks dye is beautiful floss when needed

The colors are vibrant and beautiful and, as an added bonus, colorfast. This green is lovely for realistic looking leaves and foliage

WDW does a good job with color. The Thread is easy to work with.Only complaint is, given the expense, wish they gave you as much thread as DMC does.

Lovely variegated subtle floss. Does not require any prep as is totally colorfast. I wash and straighten and iron all my projects and will use any excuse to avoid prep work. Thnks,WDW!
