Type: Cross Stitch Patterns

Elizabeth Cockerill 1831 is a reproduction of an early 19th century English cross stitch sampler from the private collection of Whilst Iris Naps Designs.

The stitch count is 154 x 212 and our model is stitched on 36ct Weeks Dye Works Putty' which measures 8 1/2 x 11 3/4 inches (21.6 x 29.8 cm). The pattern is stitched with 1 strand floss over 2 linen threads except for a small amount of over one at the end of each verse line. We used Weeks Dye Works threads but we include a DMC conversion.

"Friendship. Tell me ye knowing and discerning few. Where I may find a friend both firm and true. Who dares stand by me when in deep distress. And then his love and friendship most express"
