The 1-1/2" width is perfect. I have used it for creating a neat and secure backing and I've used it double-sided to mount multiple layered projects. Very easy to use and works very well. It goes a long way. I won't use anything else.

from United States on 08/19/2020 - No mess! This stuff is great if you do your own finishing and are new at it, like me. I've been using glue to hold the piece down while I lace it, but this tape is so much easier. Just follow the directions.

Upon the recommendation of the pattern designers, I tried attaching my perforated paper cross stitch to wooden sled ornaments. It worked perfectly! I loved the ease of application to the paper, the ease of trimming it with the paper, the ability to reposition the piece on the sled, and most of all, the way it securely adheres the cross stitch to the wood. No messno bleeding of glue through the paperno drying time!
