The Antique White color is very suitable to a variety of mat colors or leaving the project mat-less allowing the fabric to "speak for itself" when mounting and framing the finished project. The color is a subtle "laid back" white, not a stark bright white. and framing a project color is a more subtIe "laid back" white. I use this 25-count fabric exclusively on my large, very detailed cross stitch patterns that recommend "over one".
