100% linen. A beautiful hand dyed and washable fabric available in a variety of counts and colors. Lakeside linens are available in both "Regular" and "Vintage". The Regular version has minimal shading while the Vintage is more distressed. With the Vintage version there may be color separation due to the different properties of each dye used. As each piece of vintage is unique, the image should only be considered representative of what you will receive.
Please Note: Many fabrics are dyed in batches and made from natural fibers. As a result, color variation can occur between dye lots, counts, and fabric types, even under the same color name. Fabric dyers consider this normal and expected, particularly in vintage or antiqued fabrics, so feel free to contact us if selecting an exact shade is critical to your project.

I bought this little piece of linen to see the color "up close" since blue colors aren't easy to nail down. The name "Sea Storm" leads me to think there would be a grayish tinge to the color, but there is no gray at all. It is a sky blue, period, like a spring morning sky. The thing that bothers me, though, is the the cloth was not cut evenly. The 9" sides were exactly nine inches. But one of the sides that was supposed to the 13" was barely 12". I know, I know, a measly little inch. Still, I paid for that missing inch and I didn't get it. In some instances, that missing inch could make a difference in a project. I hope this doesn't become a trend at 123 Stitch, and I doubt it will since this is only the second time I've gotten a piece of fabric that was not cut precisely. The linen itself seemed "unstable" if that makes any sense in that it doesn't appear to be firmly woven. Maybe that's why the cut was off. Anyway, I don't care much for the color, and the looseness of the weave could be a consideration in my future Lakeside Linen purchases. Maybe I just got a bad section of linen. I'm just glad I didn't buy a larger piece!
