While we still have kits in stock with Perforated Paper, newer Mill Hill kits are now being made with Perforated PVC. We were skeptical at first, but here's what our testing has revealed so far:
1. Perforated PVC looks and feels nearly identical to perforated paper, and nothing like plastic canvas. It's sturdy and easy to hold, and is slightly harder to bend.
2. Our needle and thread glide just as smoothly through the new PVC as they do through paper, and finished stitches on both materials look nearly identical.
3. The new PVC is some sturdy stuff. It's much harder to tear than the paper, so you can pull your threads as tight as you want without having to worry about deforming holes or ripping. We also expect the PVC to be more resistant to decay and yellowing.
All in all, while (like many in the community) we were originally hesitant about this change, our first impressions have been very positive.

from United States on 01/08/2021 - Love these Kits I have done several of these kits and can't say enough about them. If you like beading and x-stitch, these are perfect. The frames that I'v bought separately, look great and when the light reflect off the beading, they are truly beautiful.

They say how can you find doing tiny little x stitches and working with tiny beads relaxing. It helps me to put all worries and stresses behind me. Will continue ordering your kits. Giving them as Christmas gifts to my family this year.
