I needed a white fabric, and I usually use 28 count, however this piece had some over one stitching so by buying the 27 count I am able to stitch my over one area a little easier. It’s just a tiny bit bigger, but it really made a difference

Stitching ‘one over one’, I’ve used the ‘ivory’ 27-count Linda fabric as a replacement for the 14-count fabric in the Heritage Crafts sepia ‘Silhouettes’ kits because I wanted the background fabric to have a finer texture. The finished results were wonderful! This evenweave fabric is a pleasure to work with, feels good in hand. The price is reasonable. Don’t let the fact that it is a 27-count fabric put you off from purchasing it. I’ve now purchased it in white to stitch 3 sailboat patterns to make them a ‘set’; and because I enjoy working with this fabric, I plan on purchasing more.

I like the fact that is already serged and ready to go. I will put it in my stash until I find the perfect project for it (I currently have dozens of projects, but the next must have new start will be stitched on this fabric). It looks like it will be easy to stitch on.

With the status of Charles Craft's Monaco uncertain, I was worried what I could use as my go-to cotton fabric. It was suggested that Linda would be a good substitute. And yes, yes, it is. Linda is a great cotton evenweave with a nice hand and texture. It's slightly lighter than Monaco but I'm really happy with it.

I love 27 count Linda. It's only the tiniest bit smaller than the 28 counts, but SO much easier to stitch on!
