This is my go to fabric for all of my chalkboard patterns. The holes are very easy to see if great lighting or with a back light. I highly recommend this evenweave.

on 12/15/2020 - Works as Intended
It works as intended, but the holes get moved very easily with only a tiny tug, which messes up the size of the adjacent holes. But it works for my project, so I'm happy. :)

on 07/27/2020 - Great Fabric!
I’ve always been a linen only stitcher but decided to try an evenweave for some of the cute chalkboard designs. This fabric exceeded my expectations. It is very easy to see, is soft but not too soft so not flimsy at all. I’m enjoying stitching on it.

Any black fabric is difficult to stitch on due to the color but this is a nice quality fabric. It's super soft and perfect for what I needed. Amazingly cheap too!

on 10/30/2019 - First time stitching...
Its been years since Ive cross stitched. But I attempted stitching on black for the first time. This Jobelan Evenweave Fabric in black is really nice. Im using a ball point needle and learning and working through this challenge.

I ordered this product for a pillow project for my young nephew. This fabric is softer than linen or Aida and will be perfect for the stunning tiger head I'm stitching on it. Since it is so pliable I have to pull my stitches a little less snugly than I would on a stiffer fabric, but that's part of what makes cross-stitch so much fun! Every piece is special and unique.

on 12/04/2016 - Tight Weave
Even with a magnifying glass, this fabric was too tightly woven for me to stitch over 2 threads.

on 10/03/2015 - Good quality but hard to stitch b/c of color
The quality of this fabric is high. It seems to fray easily, but fraycheck took care of that. The only problem I am having with it is that it is difficult to stitch on because of the dark color and the small holes. This is in no way a reflection on the seller, just the nature of the fabric itself.

Very soft, easier to stitch on than I expected, considering it's black.

I was so impressed that 123stitch.com surged the material I ordered. I haven't started my Nativity Silhouette pictures yet, but am apprehensive about seeing the holes on black material with my eyesight. I will try to have something white behind it when I start the project.

It was difficult to use black fabric, but the result was worth it. Just make sure to have something white behind it so you can see the holes.
