Nice that the edges are surged so they don't frey. Fabric is different on each side. One side is kind of marbled and the other side is solid in color

I bought two of these for a set of mushroom/frog cross-stitch patterns and it's perfect! The pattern is really nice but stands out a little less than the photo I think which worked for me. You can see it when you look but otherwise it doesn't stand out and take away from the project which was a worry.
Another review mentioned it as well but the pattern is also printed not dyed, the back of the fabric is lighter than the front. I steamed/ironed these when I got them instead of washing to get the folds out from shipping but washing would probably be okay. Fabric is very soft and even, I much prefer Lugana now instead of typical linen. No linen slubs and much easier to count holes.

Very easy to use, soft but not too stretchy. I think the mottling is stamped, at least there is a significant difference between front and back. Really gorgeous and a color that looks good with everything.

Totally in love with Lugana, so easy to work with. And this is a lovely, slightly variegated basic color that works with everything.

so simple and yet so beautiful with the mottling that gives an "aged" illusion. this fabric lends itself really well to many projects and there's a clear reason it is a favorite among stitchers. I had never seen it in person prior to ordering it from 123 stitch, and I'm very pleased.

I purchased 12 pieces of this fabric to stitch the WTN&T Word Play patterns on. They are the perfect size with almost a 3" border on each side for framing. I love all the "mocha" fabrics and will be purchasing more and more of them!
