I like to use linen for cross stitch that does'nt have full coverage. It really adds to the finished project. 123 Stitch has the best and most consistent products. and it's nice to stay off amazon! Thank you 123

This is the first time I've tried a fabric like this, so I didn't know exactly what to expect. I'm doing a cross-stitch table runner, and I wanted something that looks more like table linen rather than Aida which looks--well, like Aida! LOL It's very nice linen, but a bit thin. Not exactly see-through, but almost. I will be backing it with muslin or something similar, but the thread ends might still show through a bit. Just be aware that it is thin.

from United States on 02/23/2015 - Belfast linen weave is not done with consistent thread size.
When stitching on the Belfast fabric you mush us a VERY light hand to complete stitches. Any force at all will pull the fabric treads together and cause stitches to be misshapen. The threads of the fabric are not consistent in size, to the point that the holes all but disappear, and there are knots in the fabric that are large enough to cause issues in the display of the pattern,and must be addressed and removed as best as possible. When stitching 32 count projects I will try to avoid Belfast linen if possible.

This is precisely the color and weave that I wanted for my 50th anniversary sampler...not too bright white and not yellow-ey. A great vintage color.

This fabric is beautiful! A lovely not-quite-white color. It came with the edges serged so no worries about fraying, and has a nice texture and look. I'm loving stitching on it.
