The several sizes means that you can stretch a number of different sizes rather than being limited to just one work area. The Handi Clamps hold well in holding the work tightly.

This is a fabulous product as is everything I have ordered. Thanks so much. Fred Reifsnyder
from United States on 07/08/2018 - Best Purchase I Have Ever Made
Best purchase I have ever made. Have already used two of the three sizes for projects, holds the ground fabric at a perfect tension. I have in the past used, embroidery hoops, Q snap frames stretcher bars, and slate frames for stretching fabric. The only thing I wish there were more of were the flat wood pieces in more sizes, other than that, this set is perfect, and easy to use. Just love it, wish I had purchased this set sooner. The sale price is fantastic, but even if I had not purchased at the sale price, well worth it. All pieces are well made and smooth, this kit will last for many years and provide me with many, hours of carefree stitching.

Ive used several kinds of frames and this is the best Ive found. The only thing that would make it better would be if the rods were split. That way the fabric could be wound easier before clamping.
from United States on 01/28/2017 - excellent needlepoint frame!
This is the best needlpoint frame i have found. Nice smooth finishedges are eased the round knobs don't catch and snag my yarn the frame is very stable and the pvc clamps really hold the work with no twisting or loosening. The Handi-clamp frame fits nicely into my floor frame, and even when I move the floor frame from room to room, the Handi-clamp is stable. I expect my very large 20"x20" project will need almost no blocking when completed, due to the stability of the Handi-clamp frame. Very pleased.

This is the best needlpoint frame I have found. Nice smooth finish edges are eased the round knobs don't catch and snag my yarn the frame is very stable and the pvc clamps really hold the work with no twisting or loosening. I have bad arthritis in both thumbs and had NO trouble installing or removing the clamps, when following the directions. I expect my very large 20"x20" project will need almost no blocking when completed, due to the stability of the Handi-clamp frame. Very pleased. Can't wait to start a smaller project on the smaller frames that came with the whole set!

Love the ease of setting up your project in this frame to stitch. No hassle. Really like it.
from United States on 03/10/2016 - Holds well, easy to assemble hard to get the clamps off
I've been around the block with frames and hoops, have tried many over the years. And yes, this is the best I've had so far. It holds well, with no fussing over sewing, taping, or whatever. Very lightweight, too.It is hard to get the clamps off, as some reviewers have mentioned. I found I had to use a screwdriver! But that works pretty well, actually. As they tell you in the instructions for putting the fabric in--push the rod in at one end and then work along to the other end--do the same thing in reverse when taking it out gently pry open one end a little bit with the flat tip of a screwdriver, then pull the rod out from one end to the other.I wonder if, in the next generation, a more flexible rubber-type clamp might work? Edmunds, are you listening?

I love this. I used to have one a long time ago, but stopped working with Counted Cross Stitch. I just started again and realized that I had given my old one away. I was so glad to be able to find another set. It really makes doing Cross Stitch a lot easier with the frame and it doesn't leave creases in the fabric like the hoops do. Great product.

I replaced a frame given to me by a neighbor because it uses the bolt and wing-nut way of tightening and constantly was either cutting or scratching my arms. Love the way you hold the material on the rods also. Excellent that it comes with three sizes of rods.

I am 61 and have been enjoying cross stitch since my early twenties. As you can imagine, I have tried lots of different fabric holding products in that time. Without a doubt, this is my favorite system by far. It is lightweight so east to use without other equipment, easy to use and set up the fabric and holds the fabric tightly, smoothly and one of my favorite things is that actually doing the stitches does not loosen the fabric as happens slowly with other systems. I believe this will finally be my last purchase for holding my projects as I work on them. Very complete, good sizes, I really am enjoying using it!
from United States on 03/23/2015 - Just what I was hoping for!
After decades of only using hoops I finally tried a split-rail frame. It was horrible and splinterey and the tension was never right. This frame is really easy to load and use. The tension is great and no hoop marks! Once I got used to the added size and weight this proved to be the ideal stitching frame for me. My fabric stays cleaner, the floss doesn't catch on the screw, and I don't have to spend ages ironing out the creases from the hoop! The added bonus of this complete set is I actually got 2 whole frames so I can have a large,longer-term project always ready to stitch. This item, even with the shipping cost, was worth every penny I spent. This site has the best price I've seen anywhere and this frame is totally worth it!

So far I'm loving this set. The price is great for the whole set. The sizes fit most projects. I love the clamp rather than pinning or taping my project.
from United States on 03/04/2015 - Handi-Clamp Scroll Frame set
I was so excited to discover that someone had designed a scroll frame set that uses Q-Snap-like clamps that I ordered this right away. I've been stitching with this set for over a month and absolutely love it. I love my Q-Snaps as well, but with this scroll rod system, I don't have to worry about what to do with all the excess fabric and having it get wrinkled in a Q-Snap cover. This set is just a little nicer to work with. I'll still use my Q-snaps for smaller projects or for ones that I don't have a scroll rod wide enough for. The clamps are really tight and hard to get off of the rods, but I found a way around that. I have since ordered the 18" rods and plan to get the 24". This is a really good-quality set. The wood is beautiful and smooth and the 6" and 8" sidebars are the perfect size.

So far I really love the set. It works great.
from United States on 02/23/2015 - Not user friendly
I had to return these as I was unable to remove the clamps from the rods. These are not meant for use by most anyone with arthritis or weakened strength in their hands, which I have. They might work wonderfully if you can get the clamps off.
from United States on 10/03/2014 - Just what I needed
My split rail scroll frame wasn't working so great, and I don't really like using a hoop or qsnap, this seemed like the perfect balance of those. So far it's working great, I have two pieces going, thanks to multiple sizes included in this set.

Love, love, love, love this system.

First off I have to recommend buying anything from 123. I ordered this complete set and it got lost in the mail. When I told 123 about it they quickly sent a 2nd one. Thank you so much 123!!This set is everything you need in one set. You don't have to attach the fabric to the rod you just use the clamps. I will use it on stitching pieces that need beads as I stitch.
